Our client Voltania Photovoltaïque installed this beautiful PV plant on the roof of an industrial warehouse in Bordeaux, France, using Sun Ballast’s Connect support system.

This system is the best option for installing solar panels on industrial roofs, because it is able to maintain a low weight load across the surface while still having excellent wind resistance. In addition, this particular type of system is ideal for use on surfaces covered with sheathing, a material typically used on industrial-type storage facilities and warehouses.

This sheathing is often used to keep the building waterproofed. Sun Ballast support structures are able to leave that important function completely intact, since they do not have to be affixed to the surface by means of drilling any holes.
Our Technical Department performs careful sizing and feasibility calculations, taking into consideration all the characteristics of the installation area then going on to recommend the best possible solution.

The result in this case was a photovoltaic system capable of producing up to 32.76 kWp of renewable energy.
