Designed to achieve high productivity even in limited spaces, the Sail system by Sun Ballast consists of multiple support structures. Each concrete ballast has a different height from the ground, allowing for the consecutive placement of module rows while effectively managing shading between them.
This design enables the installation of a higher number of panels, while the adjustable row spacing ensures ease of design and installation.
Depending on the project, the photovoltaic structures within this system can also be used in single rows, and module fixation can be performed on either the long side (as in this case) or the short side. The Sail 10° racking system supports up to three consecutive panel rows, while the 5° version allows for up to six rows.
The 5 kW photovoltaic system shown in the image was installed in Civitavecchia (Rome province) by our customer Tecnoeasy srls. Thanks to the absence of fixation holes and the simplicity of components, the installation process was smooth and hassle-free. Additionally, the integration of the Cablowind system, secured to the bushings embedded in the back of the concrete ballasts, has further enhanced stability while providing a practical housing for electrical cables.
