Optimised space and easy, fast installation: the Sun Ballast mounting system for photovoltaic panels on flat roofs, as shown in the photo, is composed of several concrete ballasts, each with a different height from the building coverage. This configuration, known as the Sail system – here in its 5° tilt angle version – allows rows of modules to be placed side by side, maximising the usable surface on the industrial building’s roof.

Depending on the design specifications (in this case managed by STP Progetti Srl), multiple “sails” of panels can be positioned, as seen here, with flexible adjustment of row length and spacing. This enables easy management of roof obstacles and minimises shading. The Sail system is available in two versions with tilt angles of 10° and 5°, and can accommodate up to three and six consecutive panel rows, respectively.

This 225 kW photovoltaic plant, installed in Gozzano (NO) by D&G Impianti Elettrici, was mounted quickly and smoothly thanks to the Sun Ballast support structure. The system ensures excellent wind resistance, stability, and optimal weight distribution without requiring roof penetration.
