16 kWp
10°
Installed in Croatia by our client Solar Projekt, this 16 kW photovoltaic system was mounted on the flat roof of a high school using Sun Ballast concrete ballasts. Their simplicity allowed for a fast and smooth installation process, completed without any roof penetration.
The concrete structures securely hold the photovoltaic panels without damaging the roof membrane or underlying material. In this project, the panels were installed in an East-West orientation on a flat, membrane-covered surface. The Single row system provides flexibility in layout design, allowing adjustable spacing between rows to accommodate the roof’s layout and obstacles.
For this project, the 10° version was used (the East-West system supports inclinations from 3° to 30°). To enhance wind resistance, U-Block supplemental weights (30 kg concrete blocks) were added to specific points of the system, increasing its stability. Like all Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures, this system includes pre-installed M8 bushings and a metal-reinforced core, ensuring durability, reliability, and ease of installation.
