A truly innovative photovoltaic installation was realized by our customer Solalpes Energie SA on the flat roof of a building still under construction in Switzerland. What’s innovative?

Our customer has chosen to use the ballasts of Sail system with an inclination of 5 ° to realize an East-West system. The three rows of ballast of the Sail system were positioned shoulder to shoulder creating a single large system capable of producing up to 20 Kwp of renewable energy. This particular type of installation, never seen before, has allowed a significant optimization of the space occupied on the roof, managing, at the same time, to respond effectively to the set production objectives. The arrangement also helps the entire system to be even more resistant thus avoiding the sail effect and possible overturning due to strong winds.
