Pinarello is a small tourist resort in southern Corsica, and the landscape is typical of many Mediterranean coasts: in front of the beautiful sunny beaches, behind the hills covered with woods.
In these areas, the production of electricity from photovoltaic systems can offer many satisfactions from the point of view of productivity, but in the design phase it is essential to take into account some fundamental factors: first of all, wind resistance. In coastal areas, ventilation is in fact rather constant, and sometimes reaches considerable intensity.
For this reason, the precise calculation of the sizing of the system and the distribution of loads on the roof becomes an essential requirement to guarantee efficiency, duration and reliability of the system, and the experts of the Sun Ballast Technical Office offer the necessary technical support every day to ensure the maximum satisfaction of the final customer and the best quality of the installation.
For this 12KWp system built by SOLAIRE CORSE, the system chosen was the 15° East-West one: the arrangement of the panels in double opposing rows makes it possible to obtain very high wind resistance, and with the addition of additional weights “U” shape on the lateral ballasts, the stability of the installation is guaranteed.
The exposure of the modules to the East and West also makes it possible to distribute the production of energy throughout the day, brilliantly compensating for possible production losses due to the shading of surrounding buildings, trees or hills.
The result is a solid, efficient and reliable system.
