Installed in Buchs, Switzerland, by our client Smarter Swiss GmbH, this photovoltaic system was set up using Sun Ballast mounting systems for flat roofs. The installation process was easy and fast, with no complications.
The support structures do not require complex metal components or roof penetration, making them suitable for any flat surface without damaging the building coverage. In this photovoltaic system, the concrete ballasts were installed on a gravel flat roof, and the new EasyWest racking system ensured high stability while minimizing the roof load.
The support structure of the EasyWest system allows for the mounting of photovoltaic modules of any size, fixing the clamps at four points along the long side and connecting all panels into a single reticular system. This distributes the weight loads across the entire network, balancing the system’s weight over the building coverage.
The system shown in the photo has reached 100 kW of power, and thanks to its East-West 10° orientation, it maximized the use of available space while ensuring optimized performance.
