Our customer SistemiFotovoltaici.com srl managed to build a 30 Kwp photovoltaic system on the flat roof of an industrial warehouse, installed in a well-known commercial center in Rome with photovoltaic modules supported by Sun Ballast systems.
The system chosen is the Connect system with 10 ° inclination, a large chain of concrete ballasts consisting of a front ballast, a central and a terminal which, due to its conformation, reaches wind resistance even higher than 150 km / h, certified results. from fluid dynamics laboratory tests.
In addition, the load on the roof with the Connect system remains very limited, maximum 20/25 kg / m2, since the weights connected in this way to each other distribute the weight evenly over the entire surface.
The covering sheath used for its protective features has remained intact and its impermeability has not been affected thanks to the simple support of the ballasts that do not require fixing holes, a factor that significantly reduces installation times and consequently also on the general costs of construction.
Study and careful sizing calculations by the Sun Ballast Technical Department have allowed the construction of a system that is not only solid, but also extremely efficient.
