Sun Ballast’s photovoltaic panel structures are widely used on flat roofs, but not only: concrete ballasts offer many advantages to ground-mounted PV systems, which are increasingly popular both on agricultural land and near urban areas.
Built in Osoppo (UD) by our client SH Plants, the installation visible in the photo generates a clean 300 kW of electricity, and the Single-Row 20° system has made the installation much simpler and faster. The ballasts do not require any fixing holes: a significant advantage both on building roofs and on ground spaces; the absence of holes allows for reduced installation times and labor costs, while ensuring a high level of safety and wind resistance. In this installation, the photovoltaic ballasts were placed directly on a plastic sheet placed over the compacted surface, a measure that allows for better management of any vegetation and increases the amount of light reflected from the ground.
The result? A reliable, efficient photovoltaic system installed with great simplicity. The Single-Row system is available in a wide range of inclinations (from 0° to 30°), allowing for freely adjustable row lengths and distances between them, and is effectively usable on any type of flat surface.
