Used by thousands of industry professionals to maximize small spaces on residential buildings, the Sun Ballast 5° Sail system ensures high energy production even when surface areas are limited. The support structures for photovoltaic panels that make up the system can be positioned consecutively, allowing for up to six rows of modules and completely eliminating the gaps between them. This way, the entire surface is utilized, and even small rooftops of houses and condos can provide good performance.

This 6 kW photovoltaic system on a flat roof was installed in Sicily (near Enna) by our client Mrg Power, and the existing pavement on the roof posed no difficulties: Sun Ballast’s photovoltaic ballasts are used without any roof penetration, a significant advantage that minimizes installation time.

The configuration of the system can also be easily adapted to the roof’s characteristics, quickly managing obstacles and making the best use of available space. The addition of supplementary U-Block weights (30 kg) positioned directly on the concrete ballasts further increased wind resistance, ensuring the highest level of reliability for the installation.
