Designed to maximize the use of all available surfaces, the Sun Ballast sail system offers a simple, versatile, and fast-to-install solution, ideal for generating electricity while minimizing the space used.
This mounting system for photovoltaic panels on flat roofs is composed of different support structures, each with increasing height: this allows the rows of modules to be connected, forming a real “sail” and eliminating any space between the panels.
Depending on specific needs, the concrete ballast blocks that make up this system can be placed in individual rows, freely adjusting the distance between them and selecting the most suitable height for the type of roof. Available in two different versions, the 10° sail system allows up to three consecutive rows of panels, while the 5° tilt model – used for this installation – supports up to six rows.
The 9 kW photovoltaic system shown in the photo was installed in Le Marche by our client Millenergie S.r.l., and the existing roof pavement posed no issues: Sun Ballast ballasts require no roof penetration, making installation easy, fast, and secure even on delicate materials.
