Thousands and thousands of photovoltaic systems have been realised thanks to Sun Ballast’s photovoltaic module ballasts, which are ideal for installations where energy can be generated independently, on different types of flat surfaces such as: sheathing, gravel, green roofs, ground or paving.
One of these is the one carried out by our customer KG IMPIANTI Srl on a flat roof of a house, covered with sheathing, in Lazio, in a location overlooking the sea, using the Standard Sun Ballast system with a 10°.V inclination and the panels installed vertically, i.e. resting on the long sides.
The incredible versatility of this system made it possible to take into account the characteristics of the roof and the structure: in the event of obstacles, it is easy to get around them and the sheathing with which the roof is covered is not affected by fixing holes. The sheathing is often used to protect the surface and make it waterproof, which is why it is essential not to drill holes in it when installing a photovoltaic system.
Stability, solidity and efficiency are assured with Sun Ballast and it is possible to realise systems like this one, capable of producing up to 4.5 kwp of renewable energy.
