A large ground-mounted photovoltaic system, productive, resilient, and installed quickly and easily: the one realized in Mazamet (France) by our client JP Energie Environnement is the perfect example of the versatility of Sun Ballast photovoltaic weights, successfully usable on any type of flat surface, from industrial building roofs to large ground spaces.

This system was built with photovoltaic panel structures from the East-West system, available in numerous versions and customizable – depending on the requirements – with a wide range of Sun Ballast weights. In this case, the selected ones are the 5°.5, a model usable in single rows, in “Veil” configurations, or in East-West, as in this case. The 5°.5 ballasts allows the photovoltaic panels to be raised considerably from the ground, avoiding contact with vegetation and facilitating the management of any terrain imperfections. The arrangement of the modules in East-West also completely eliminates the distance between rows, maximizing the use of the entire installation surface and ensuring a high level of productivity for the system.

Like all Sun Ballast systems, even the one visible in the photo did not require any type of drilling, neither on the ground nor on the weights: Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures are designed to ensure maximum wind resistance without being fixed to the ground, and the presence of the fixing bushings already inside the structure makes the panel installation much faster and safer.
