6 kWp
15°
This 6 kW photovoltaic system on a gravel-covered flat roof was installed on a residential building in Nice, France, by our client Inergies Sarl. Thanks to Sun Ballast’s photovoltaic mounting systems, the installation was simple and fast.
These structures do not require any anchoring holes or complex metal accessories. The concrete ballasts are simply placed—either directly on the gravel or on the membrane underneath it—making installation as straightforward as possible and reducing both costs and overall installation time.
The addition of Cablowind and the 30 kg U-Block supplementary weights—visible at the back of the rows—ensured maximum wind resistance. Cablowind, a special concrete channel that acts as both extra weight and a housing for electrical cables, significantly enhances resistance to the elements, while the U-Block weights can be placed either on the channel (as in this case) or directly on the structures.
The flexibility of the Single-Row 15° system—available with inclinations from 0° to 30°—also allows for easy adjustment of row length and spacing, quickly managing obstacles and adapting the system to the roof’s characteristics.
