Implemented by HB Bat on the large flat roof of an industrial building in Vendres, France, this photovoltaic system reached a power of 160 kW, and thanks to the Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures, the installation was completed rapidly.
For this facility, the 0° version was selected, one of the many available: the Single-Row system range includes models ranging from 0° to 30° of inclination, offering designers and installers a solution suitable for every specific situation. The 0° weight used for this system also provides some particular advantages: fixing the panels flush with the roof covering completely eliminates the distance between the rows, maximizing the available space and fully covering the roof surface with PV modules.
Like all Sun Ballast photovoltaic weights, even those of Single-Row 0° do not require any fixing holes and ensure maximum resistance to wind loads for the panels. The structures also allow for freely modulating the positioning of the modules based on the layout of obstacles on the roof: this way, they can be easily and quickly bypassed, optimizing the performance of the system and making the most of the entire building’s roof coverage.
