Sun Ballast ballasts for photovoltaic modules can be installed on different types of flat roofs such as: sheathing, green roofs, on the ground, paving or gravel as for the photovoltaic system in the photo created on the roof of a house in France.
Gravel is used to cover the flat roofs of buildings mainly to protect against UV rays and avoid excessive overheating of the roof, the installation methods on this type of surface include two different ways: direct positioning of the structures above the gravel or the installation under the gravel and the repositioning of the latter at a later time.
For this installation, the ballasts of the Standard Sun Ballast system were used with an inclination of 20°, together with our Cabwlowind accessory designed and built to act as additional ballast and as a channel for the correct accommodation of the cables. The union of these two elements makes the entire system very resistant to wind stress and ensures great stability even on gravel.
The results obtained with Sun Ballast are exceptional and our customer GIRERD ENR is satisfied and with his system he reaches a power of 3 kwp of clean energy.
