Sun Ballast is also the ideal support for solar thermal panels.
The significantly increased size and thickness of this type of panels compared to classic photovoltaic panels is no limitation for the Sun Ballast system – high performance is still ensured when installing this particular type of panel.
The installation, realized by our customer Focolari Sud S.r.l., consists of ten panels for a total production of 18.059 kWp of energy.
The operation of solar thermal panels is extremely simple: the energy coming from the sun’s rays is transformed into thermal energy and transferred to an accumulator to produce hot water, and also to be able to heat and/or cool rooms. For this particular installation the Standard system ballasts were selected, with an inclination of 20°. Thanks to this most versatile of Sun Ballast systems, it was also possible to place the panels horizontally.
