Sun Ballast concrete ballasts for photovoltaic panels on flat roofs can be used on any type of flat surface, from large industrial buildings to flat roofs of houses, condos, and commercial buildings.
This photovoltaic system was installed in Modena by Energia Nuova Srl using the East-West 10° mounting system for photovoltaic panels, one of the many versions available. The East-West systems are compatible with various ballast models, ranging from 3° to 30° tilt angles, and with different heights from the roof surface, depending on the characteristics of the building, the photovoltaic system, and the type of modules used.
Sun Ballast concrete ballasts allow for adjusting both the row length and the distance between rows, ensuring high performance even for small systems. The dual orientation of the modules not only optimizes available space but also increases exposure to sunlight and distributes energy production throughout the day.
As with all Sun Ballast ballasts, no roof penetration is required for this installation—neither on the roof nor on the concrete ballast itself, as the fixation bushings are already integrated into the structure, making the panel installation faster and more secure.
