Sun Ballast photovoltaic ballasts make the installation of flat roof PV systems simple, fast, and safe. These ballasts combine both the weight and support structure functions in a single component, ensuring high wind resistance without requiring any roof penetration. The ballasts are simply placed on the flat roof, even in areas highly exposed to weather conditions, providing the highest level of safety and reliability in all situations.

The 3 kW photovoltaic system shown in the photo was installed by our client, Elektro Wichtrey GmbH, on a small gravel flat roof of a residential building in Ansbach, Germany. The Connect 10° system not only reduced installation time but also minimized the roof load of the system. In this configuration, all ballasts are interconnected into a single reticular system, efficiently redistributing wind loads across the entire structure.

Like all Sun Ballast mounting systems, the one used in this installation already includes M8 fixation bushings and is available in a range of tilt angles from 5° to 30°.
