5.25 kWp
5°
The photovoltaic system in the photo was installed by Electro Project on a terraced roof in Forio – the largest municipality on the beautiful island of Ischia – and thanks to Sun Ballast’s 5° Sail system, the space dedicated to the system was fully utilized.
Composed of concrete photovoltaic structures, the Sail system allows for efficient and productive photovoltaic installations on flat roofs, even in the presence of limited surfaces: Sun Ballast ballasts are positioned next to each other with increasing height, reducing the distance between the rows of photovoltaic panels to zero and ensuring easy and fast installation on any type of roofing. The absence of fixing holes and any complex elements (bars, casings, etc.) makes the laying phases much simpler, and the possibility of adjusting the number of rows based on the specific characteristics of the roof offers designers and installers the maximum level of flexibility.
This 5.25 kWp PV system consists of two main sails (one with two, the other with three rows of panels), and to ensure maximum resistance to coastal winds, some U-Blocks have been added: these additional weights are placed directly on the photovoltaic ballasts, allowing stability and resistance of the systems to be increased in a few minutes. The Sail system is available in two versions (5° and 11°), and the ballasts that compose it can also be used for positioning single rows.
