With Sun Ballast racking systems, designing and installing solar becomes much simpler and faster: the systems combine both the racking and the ballast in a single pre-cast component, and allow assembly times and issues during the installation to be reduced to a minimum.

Furthermore, all Sun Ballast systems do not require any roof penetrations, and can be simply placed on any type of flat roof while ensuring high wind resistance. The 51 kW system shown in the photo was created by our customer EIS Solar in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, United States) using the 5° Connect system (also available with a 10° inclination): this system connects all the ballasted racking in one single network that is extremely wind-resistant, and allows you to evenly distribute the weight over the entire surface of the roof.

The Connect systems are also compatible with No-Flex, a special kit used with large panels that allows two additional clamping spots in the central part of the module, making the solar installation even more stable. Like all Sun Ballast racking systems, those used for this installation also already contain M8 threaded inserts for fixing the modules, while the use of the “PowerClamp” steel clips also made it possible to speed up the grounding operations .
