Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures can be used on any flat surface, from industrial building membrane roofs to flat gravel roofs of houses and apartment buildings.
This 9kW system was built by Edmond Solutions in Roquebrune-sur-Argens (France) using photovoltaic mounting structures from the East-West 5° system: this configuration can be assembled with a wide range of ballasts – from 3° to 30° – and depending on the type of system and building, it is possible to select the most suitable model. The use of Sun Ballast concrete ballasts also allows for free positioning of the panels, adjusting both the length and distance between rows, ensuring high energy production in every situation. The orientation of the modules in two different directions not only makes the most of the space dedicated to the PV system but also reduces shading and increases the hours of sunlight exposure.
Like all photovoltaic ballasts in the Sun Ballast range, those used in the East-West system did not require any holes, either in the roof or the structure: the ballasts are simply placed – even on flat gravel roofs – and the presence of pre-inserted M8 sockets makes panel fastening much faster.
