Sun Ballast’s Connect system consists of three different ballasts and offers flat-roof photovoltaic systems the highest level of stability and tightness even in very intense and frequent wind gusts. The three concrete ballasts-front, middle, and end-are designed to connect all the structures into one large grid, which not only provides very high resistance to mechanical stresses, but also best reduces and distributes loads on the roof.
The 200 kWp PV system visible in the photo was built in Modena by our client Crea Energia S.r.l. on the flat roof of the Bertoli Arredamenti factory, and thanks to the Connect 10° system the installation was done quickly and with great ease.
In fact, like all Sun Ballast concrete ballasts, those of the Connect system do not require any type of holes on the roof, and installation can be done on any type of flat surface. The simplicity of installation also concerns the additional weights, visible here on the perimeter ballasts: again, it is sufficient to place the weights directly on top of the ballasts, further increasing wind resistance, reliability and durability of the PV system.
