Developed to maximize the management of available surfaces, Sun Ballast’s Sail system is a flexible and quick-to-install solution, ideal for making even small spaces useful and productive.

This sail mounting system for photovoltaic panels on flat roofs consists of support structures of varying heights: this allows rows of modules to be placed close together, eliminating gaps and avoiding shading.

Depending on the roof characteristics, the photovoltaic ballasts in the system can also be used for single-row placements, adjusting the spacing and selecting the most suitable height for the installation needs.

The 17 kW system shown in the photo was installed in Bergamo by Chiesa Impianti using the 5° Sail system. To ensure maximum resistance, two different accessories were added: Cablowind and U-Block. These are available in 15 kg and 30 kg versions and are placed directly on the ballasts, quickly increasing the structure’s resistance.

In addition to providing extra weight, Cablowind also houses the electrical cables, and the metal guide where the concrete channel is inserted quickly attaches to the pre-installed bushings on the back of the ballasts.
