With Sun Ballast racking systems, installing solar on flat roofs becomes simple, fast and safe: the concrete ballasted racking – wind tunnel tested, patented and UL2703 certified – functions as both the racking and the ballast, making both the assembly and design phases as simple as possible. In addition, all Sun Ballast racking systems do not penetrate the roof, and can be simply placed, ensuring maximum resistance to all atmospheric conditions, even in very windy areas.
The 80 kW system shown in the photo was installed by our customer Bliss Solar LLC in New York (NY, United States) using both the Zero system (at a 0° inclination) and the 5° version of the Connect system. Both systems allow the modules to be inter-connected in a single network of racking, making the solar system extremely solid and evenly distributing the system’s weight over the entire roof surface. Depending on the specific needs of the project, the Zero system also allows both the effective management of any shading between the rows and the minimization of the visibility of the installation from the outside of the building, optimizing the aesthetic impact.
All Sun Ballast racking systems contain M8 threaded inserts pre-cast inside, and the “PowerClamp” steel clips, acting as an electrical bridge between the panels, also make grounding operations quicker.
