Photovoltaic systems on the flat roofs of condominiums and residential complexes are becoming more common, and Sun Ballast structures make their installation easier and more convenient. The system installed by our client B&G SRL in Capergnanica (Cremona) was completed simply and quickly, and the use of photovoltaic weights prevented any damage to the sheath on the building’s roof.
The single-row system structures represent a quick and easy-to-install solution and are available in numerous inclinations from 0° to 30°. For this system, the 20° version was used, and like all Sun Ballast structures, these did not require any fastening holes, installation times were minimized, and the assembly – without complex metal elements – was much simpler. With the Single-Row system, it is also possible to quickly adjust both the length and the distance between the rows of modules: in this way, obstacle management becomes faster, and the system installation can be carried out quickly on any type of flat roof.
The U-Block supplementary weights and the Cablowind system greatly increased wind resistance. The U-Blocks can be placed directly on the photovoltaic weights or on the Cablowind, which is positioned at the back of the structures. This optimizes weight distribution and provides a space for electrical cables.
