Developed to maximize all available space, the Sail system by Sun Ballast allows for high power density and optimized energy yield, even when the installation area is limited.
In this mounting system, the photovoltaic ballasts are positioned in consecutive rows with increasing ground clearance. This design reduces—or even eliminates—the gap between modules, effectively managing shading and optimizing space utilization. Depending on the building characteristics and project goals, this ballast system can also be used in single-row configurations, allowing for adjustability in row length and spacing.
The Sail 11° system—used in this installation—supports up to three consecutive rows of modules, while the 5° version accommodates up to six rows.
The 24 kW photovoltaic system shown in the picture was installed in the province of Padova by our customer Evolved Group Srl. To further enhance stability and ensure a tidy and professional layout, the Cablowind system was added to the rear side of the photovoltaic ballasts. This concrete element acts as both an additional weight and a cable management channel, improving the overall resistance and organization of the photovoltaic installation.
