High power in little space: 5° and 11° Sail-shaped systems
While the Standard 0° system ensures a panel surface coplanar to the roof, the Sun Ballast Sail-shaped system increases the photovoltaic module’s inclinations by 5° or 11°. As a result, spaces are further optimised, making this system the perfect choice when space is at a premium, such as in terraces or small residential buildings. Even for the Sail-shaped system, the distance between PV panel rows is eliminated, and the length can be easily adjusted. This way, the system is effective even in the presence of obstacles. Moreover, covering the entire roof provides high energy levels even in compact areas. In the 11° version, this system can fit three ballasts in sequence. Conversely, the 5° inclination requires six ballasts in a row to form the sail-shaped structure. 5° Sail-shaped Connect system: where productivity and resistance meet

With the Sail-shaped Connect system, the PV panel rows are made by arranging the modules in pairs and connecting each (double) row with the next one, creating a stable and balanced interconnected network. Like all Sun Ballast systems, even the Sail-shaped Connect system requires no fastening, ensuring perfect surface integrity, even the paved ones particularly common on terraces and condominiums. This solid, efficient, and easy-to-install solution helps increase the PV system’s productivity and resistance. Moreover, having all the ballasts in one network allows for even load distribution, increasing the system’s overall stability and ensuring absolute balance between resistance and productivity, even in compact spaces.
Eliminating Bad Exposure: the advantages of the East-West system
Optimising spaces while ensuring high productivity even when the building is not well exposed is possible. With the Sun Ballast East-West system, rows are made by pairs of panels in opposite directions. Therefore, the system is exposed to solar radiation for longer hours, ensuring continuous electricity distribution throughout the day. The East-West system is available in various versions. Moreover, Sun Ballast structures are highly versatile, as you can adjust the rows’ length and even distance (eliminating it entirely if needed) depending on the roof’s characteristics.
