Solid, safe, and universal: learn more about the new systems of Sun Ballast at Intersolar 2025

From May 7 to 9, 2025, Sun Ballast will attend Intersolar Europe in Munich, one of the world’s most important trade fairs dedicated to renewable energy.

As every year, Sun Ballast’s booth (A5.330) will be a key reference point for all solar professionals seeking simple, durable solutions compatible with PV panels of any size. Alongside our team, the new EasyWest system will take center stage at this year’s edition.

Simple, solid, and versatile PV structures

Since 2012, Sun Ballast has been designing concrete ballasts that combine both support and weight in a single element—no need for roof perforations. This innovative approach has revolutionized flat-roof PV mounting systems, drastically reducing installation times and making both design and assembly phases easier than ever.

Today, with over 40 models available, Sun Ballast’s systems are used by thousands of professionals across the world.

Engineered to maximize the simplicity of flat-roof PV installations, Sun Ballast systems adapt to any layout—horizontal, vertical, or East-West—and can be installed on any surface: gravel, membrane, concrete, pavement, green roofs, and more. The ballasts are compatible with both standard and large-format PV panels, providing a secure and long-lasting support in any weather condition.

EasyWest: more safety, more speed, less weight

Developed to combine lightness, strength, and flexibility, EasyWest paves the way for a new generation of East-West PV systems. It ensures exceptional wind resistance for all PV panel types. Thanks to the grid configuration—where each row is linked to all the others in a single interconnected structure—fewer and lighter ballasts are required.

This makes EasyWest a highly cost-effective solution, both in terms of €/kW and roof load. With the addition of PowerClamp grounding brackets, system earthing is faster and easier. The 10° East-West tilt also allows for optimal use of available space, ensuring a perfect balance between energy production, cost, and system safety.
