Does it seem impossible to build a photovoltaic system on a small flat surface? With Sun Ballast systems, it is not. This small, but very efficient installation made by our client STM Servizi srls perfectly testifies to that fact: it is built on a small, gravel-covered roof.

Our Vela system, with an inclination of 5° and two consecutive rows installed vertically one behind the other, was the optimal solution for this small space that our customer wanted to be able to use to produce renewable energy.

In fact, the ballasts of the chosen system make it possible to take advantage of the small amount space available and reach maximum efficiency, but this is only the first of the many advantages that this system can offer: the others to consider are the versatility, the high wind resistance increased with the gravel added at a later time and the dramatically reduced cost per kW – thanks also to the speed and simplicity of installation.

The Vela system’s ability to adapt to the available space has allowed the construction of this photovoltaic system capable of producing up to 4 kWp of clean energy.
