The photovoltaic systems on the flat roofs of industrial warehouses are very beautiful and very productive, but before selecting the best structure to be used, it is advisable to make careful calculations of sizing and feasibility.

Our Technical Department and Sun Ballast take care of these calculations with care and reliability. Thanks to the many solutions available to Sun Ballast, it also has one that is perfectly suited to industrial roofs: the Connect system.

This system, thanks to its particular configuration, forms a lattice of interlinked concrete ballasts, consisting of a front ballast, a central ballast and a terminal that closes the rows of panels. Due to this arrangement it has a high wind resistance that reaches values even higher than 150 km/h and keeps the roof loads limited thanks to the distribution of weight evenly over the entire surface.

The advantages of the Connect system convinced our customer Voltania Sarl to use it for the construction of a photovoltaic system in France on an industrial warehouse; to support the ballasts, the customer also used our sheaths to protect the surface and keep the properties of the roof unaltered.

The result is a formidable photovoltaic system, capable of producing up to 99.36 kWp of renewable energy.
