Used in over 50,000 photovoltaic systems worldwide, Sun Ballast mounting systems for flat roof installations help reduce both installation time and costs while ensuring maximum durability and longevity for photovoltaic plants. The concrete ballasts require no fixation holes, allowing secure installation without any risk of damage to the building coverage, whether it be a membrane, pavement, or concrete surface.
The 80 kW photovoltaic system shown in the picture was installed in Rome by our client Arcadia Italia S.p.A. using the Connect 10° system. This innovative mounting system links each photovoltaic ballast into a single collaborative network. This interconnection allows for lighter support structures while ensuring exceptional wind resistance and perfectly balanced weight distribution/load distribution across the roof.
The Connect system—available in tilt angles of 5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, and 30°—is also compatible with large photovoltaic modules. By integrating the No-Flex kit, an easy-to-install accessory featuring an additional ballast and a special steel bracket, modules can be secured at six fixation points. This solution adheres to support parameters, eliminates the risk of central flexion, and maximizes wind resistance.
