Produced in the Czech Republic by our client Ekotez Spol. s.r.o., this photovoltaic system on an industrial building was installed using Sun Ballast‘s mounting system for flat roofs. Thanks to the characteristics of these systems, the installation was completed easily and quickly.
The concrete ballast for photovoltaics does not require any anchoring to the roof, as it is simply placed on any type of material (membrane, gravel, concrete, pavement, etc.). In this case, the ballast was used on a completely obstacle-free membrane surface, and the EasyWest system allowed for high energy yield without overloading the roof while ensuring exceptional wind resistance.
The concrete ballasts that make up the EasyWest system allow for the fixation of the panel along the long side, creating a reticular system of interconnected structures and panels. This way, the wind load is distributed across the entire network, and the weight of the installation is balanced over the entire roof coverage. The system visible in the photo has reached a power output of 200 kW, and thanks to the East-West orientation at a 10° tilt angle, energy production starts from the early hours of the morning.
