Installed at the Port of La Spezia by our client Fim Solution, this 50 kW photovoltaic system was set up using Sun Ballast’s mounting structures, maximizing the flexibility of the concrete weights.

The Mono-XL 10° structures—designed to fix large panels at four points on the long side—were placed side by side with an East-West orientation, making the most of the available space on the flat roof. The weights for photovoltaic panels allow for the configuration of the system to be freely set based on the characteristics of the building, and since no anchoring holes are required, they can be quickly positioned and moved to any point on the roof.

In this installation, the use of large panels necessitated a specific solution, and the Mono-XL weights—sized to support modules longer than 2 meters—ensured the highest level of safety and resistance to weather conditions. The East-West orientation also ensured high performance by increasing the number of hours of sunlight and distributing energy production throughout the day.
