60 kWp
11.3°
Solid and reliable, yet simple and modular: Sun Ballast’s photovoltaic structures allow designers and installers of flat roof photovoltaic systems to position panels quickly and with great flexibility. The 60 kW system shown in the photo was built in Bulgaria by our client SMV Energy Ltd. using just one type of ballast, but in two different configurations.
The 11°.3 concrete ballast can be used in both single rows and East-West orientation (or even in Sail systems), allowing easy adaptation of the configuration to the system’s requirements and the characteristics of the space. In this case, the installation was carried out on a gravel ground surface, with the ballasts placed directly on the gravel layer.
Sun Ballast’s photovoltaic structures do not require any ground anchoring, minimizing both installation time and costs. The ability to adjust both the inclination and the height of the panel can also offer many advantages, such as simplified management of lower obstacles, high module efficiency even in the presence of grass regrowth, or better aeration of the optimizers.
