Wind resistance, reduced weight, and easy, fast installation: the Sun Ballast Connect system ballasts provide a robust and reliable solution for photovoltaic systems on flat roofs, especially when the goal is to ensure the highest level of weather resistance for PV modules. With this system, each photovoltaic ballast is interconnected with all others in a single collaborative grid, generating exceptional wind resistance and distributing loads across the entire roof surface.
The 29 kW photovoltaic system shown in the photo was installed in Andacette, France, by our client Etera Sarl. The installation took place on a gravel flat roof, and the Sun Ballast photovoltaic structures required no fixing holes: they were simply placed, minimizing installation time and costs.
The Connect system (shown here in the 20° version) is available in a wide range of inclinations from 5° to 30° and consists of three different concrete ballasts: a front, a central, and a terminal ballast. All Sun Ballast structures include pre-inserted M8 fixing inserts and are backed by a 25-year warranty.
