Resistance, lightness, and stability: the ballasts of Sun Ballast’s Connect system offer a solid and reliable solution, ensuring a high level of safety for flat roof photovoltaic installations, even in the presence of intense weather phenomena. In the Connect system, all the concrete ballasts are interconnected in a single grid: this way, the loads are well distributed over the entire structure network, and the weights are balanced across the entire roof surface.

The 65 kW installation visible in the photo was carried out in Haapsalu (Estonia) by our client Energiapartner: the installation of the photovoltaic panel structures was performed on the slightly inclined roof of an industrial building, and all installation phases were much simpler and faster. The photovoltaic ballasts do not require any fixing holes, as they already contain the fixing bushings inside and are simply placed on the covering layer, without damaging either the flooring of residential buildings or – as in this case – the membranes of industrial warehouses.

The Connect system (used here in the 15° version) is available in a range of inclinations – from 5° to 30° – and like all Sun Ballast systems, it is guaranteed for 25 years.
