Easy, fast and safe installation, even on the most delicate sheathing surfaces: Sun Ballast ballasts are designed to offer installers a simple, solid solution suitable for all types of flat roofs. In fact, the structures do not require any fastening holes, and the special sheathing inserted between the ballasts and the roof allows any damage to the supporting surface to be safely avoided.
This 6 kWp photovoltaic system was installed in France on the flat roof of a residential building by our client Sun Elec using the Single-Row 20° system: this solution made it possible to easily adjust the arrangement of the PV panels according to the available spaces, easily circumventing all obstacles and ensuring the slated sheathing layer perfect integrity.
To further increase the stability of the PV system, Sun Ballast’s innovative Cablowind system was also added on the back of the ballasts: designed to serve both the function of an additional weight and a cable channel for the electrical cables, Cablowind is installed quickly and conveniently, without drilling any holes. In fact, the metal rails are attached directly to the pre-inserted bushings in the ballasts, and the concrete channel resting inside them allows the electrical cables to be arranged easily and neatly, while improving wind resistance and load distribution on the roof.
