Three different structures, one grid of panels: the Connect system by Sun Ballast represents a practical, innovative and highly reliable solution, which is ideal when the priority is to ensure that the photovoltaic system has the highest level of resistance to the wind and snow loads. In fact, this system is composed of three types of ballast: the front one, the middle one and the final one; thanks to the special design of the structures, all the rows of modules are connected to each other, significantly increasing the stability of the system, the resistance to wind loads and the overall reliability of the installation.
The one built by MFC 31 on this flat sheathed surface reached 6 kWp with ease, and the installation of the structures – also delivered quickly in France thanks to our distributor Aris Energie – kept all the protective features perfectly intact all the protective and waterproofing features of the roofing, while ensuring a decidedly quick and easy installation.
Successfully used on both large industrial plants and small residential buildings, Sun Ballast’s Connect system – here in the 15° model – offers two additional and important advantages: on the one hand, the union in a single net allows the use of particularly light and manageable structures, reducing and optimizing the weights on the roof; on the other hand, this type of conformation ensures a perfectly balanced distribution of loads over the entire surface, further increasing the stability, longevity and solidity of the PV system.
